How we verify
The people and the checks behind Roofing Service Pros
Who's behind it
Paul Leary started Roofing Service Pros after 27 years working in the trades. For more than 15 years since, he has been helping New England home-service contractors get found online, and roofing is where this referral service began.
We are not a roofing company. Nobody here climbs a ladder, writes an estimate or signs a contract with you; that all happens between you and the roofer.
What happens after you call or send the form
Right now there are no participating roofers, so every request lands with us. We review every request and follow up with you. We may not be able to introduce you to a roofer in your area yet.
Your details are never sent to more than one roofer, and if a different roofer takes over your area later, we won't pass your request along without asking you.
What a roofer has to show us first
No roofer gets a call through Roofing Service Pros until we've verified the credentials the job needs:
- Massachusetts HIC registration. A current Home Improvement Contractor registration, which also gives you access to the state's Guaranty Fund if you win a court judgment against the contractor and can't collect.
- Construction Supervisor License. A current Massachusetts CSL for the person supervising the job, where the work requires one.
- New Hampshire. New Hampshire doesn't license roofing contractors, so for New Hampshire towns the insurance requirement carries the weight.
- Insurance on file. Proof of general liability and workers' compensation coverage, so an injury on your roof isn't your problem.
- They actually work your town. We only send your call to a roofer who covers your area.
Every participating roofer also signs off on which towns they cover, which jobs they take and how fast they'll get back to you. A roofer who stops living up to that loses the area.
One roofer per area
Each area has a single participating roofer at most. Participating roofers may pay Roofing Service Pros for marketing; that has no bearing on the checks above, and you never pay us anything.
